Since January 11, "Ukrzaliznytse" has been banned from transporting passengers

The State Transport Safety Service ("Ukrtransbezopasnost") suspended the license.

The State Transport Safety Service ("Ukrtransbezopasnost") has suspended the license of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" for the transportation of passengers, dangerous goods and hazardous waste by rail.

"I order the suspension of the license of Ukrzaliznytsia, issued in accordance with the order of Ukrtransbezopasnosti, for the right to carry out economic activities for the transportation of passengers, dangerous goods and hazardous waste by rail... until the licensee has eliminated the grounds that caused the suspension of the license in whole or in part, but not for more than two months from the date of entry into force of the decision to suspend the validity of the license in full," says the corresponding order No. 1044, posted on the website of Ukrtransbezopasnosti.

The reason for this order was the non-fulfillment by Ukrzaliznytsia of the Act on the Elimination of Violated License Conditions for the Implementation of Economic Activities for the Transportation of Passengers, Hazardous Cargoes, and Hazardous Waste by Railway Transport dated December 24, 2021.

"Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Mustafa Nayem, has finally understood that with such management as is now at Ukrzaliznytsa, in the future it is dangerous to transport cargo and passengers," the head of the Verkhovna Rada's temporary investigative commission for verification and evaluation wrote on the Facebook social network of the state of "UZ", Council member Yuliya Hryshina (Servant of the People faction).

She noted that from January 11, 2022, the company must stop transporting passengers and dangerous goods.

"This is not an evil New Year's joke. This is the ridiculous reality of how the management of "Ukrzaliznytsia" works today. On December 30, "Ukrtrasbezopasnost" issued the corresponding order, and in fact, as of January 11, 2022, "Ukrzaliznytsia" must stop transporting passengers and dangerous goods," Gryshina wrote.

According to her, the company will probably look for some way out of the current situation, but the fact remains that "Ukrzaliznytsia" does not comply with the license conditions, that is, it does not fulfill all the necessary requirements of the controlling body for the organization of transportation of passengers and dangerous goods.
