In order to prevent fraud, the "Action" application has a function of notifying you about loans taken out in your name and checking your credit history. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mikhail Fedorov.
"We are launching an important service in the application to protect Ukrainians and prevent fraud - push notifications about new loans and checking credit history. Checking the credit history is a mandatory stage when applying for a loan. Now, if someone checks your history or takes out a loan, you will receive a notification," the minister said.
In this case, the function will work by default and you do not need to update the application.
"This service will help prevent new cases of fraud. After all, every day the Cyber Police receives hundreds of appeals from Ukrainians that they are being illegally issued loans. Thanks to the new service, we will help Ukrainians to protect themselves from credit fraudsters, save money and be protected from other scams. If you receive a notification in "Action" that you have taken out a new loan, but you have not opened it, then you can immediately go to the Credit History Bureau in the application and write a complaint. And if you see a notification that, for example, a bank is checking your credit history in order to open a loan, you can contact the institution to find out the details," said Fedorov.
This service is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation together with the Ukrainian Bureau of Credit History. This is an institution that collects, stores, processes and provides credit histories. They have all the information on borrowers from banks, insurance companies, leasing companies, credit unions and other financial institutions.
