The government launched the implementation of the experimental project of customs clearance of vehicles using the "Diya" application and portal. This was reported in the communications department of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers.
As Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal noted, for tens of thousands of Ukrainians, the import of cars was often an inconvenience.
"That's why we adopted a resolution that will make it possible to submit the necessary documents via smartphone, pay the customs fee and complete the customs clearance of the vehicle automatically. Everything is very convenient, simple and without any corruption," the head of government emphasized.
And he added that customs fees can be paid online through the Diya application and portal. The experimental project will work after the Verkhovna Rada adopts the corresponding changes in the legislation.
