The future is already here: SpaceX launched into space ordinary tourists who do not have the skills of astronauts

For the first time in the history of cosmonautics, a crew consisting of civilians went into orbit: tourists who did not undergo the minimum training for astronauts. Such a crew was sent into space on September 16 by the SpaceX company of billionaire and inventor Elon Musk.

There are four people on board the spaceship "Inspiration". Among them is billionaire Jared Isaacman, who paid for the tour for himself and the other three people he did not know, selected by him through a competition.

She is an employee of an oncology hospital in Memphis, a veteran pilot of the American Air Force and a geological scientist. At the same time, the employee of the hospital Haila Arsenault suffered from bone cancer as a child, lost her right leg and now uses a prosthesis. Thus, she became the first disabled person to fly into space.

The Crew Dragon ship will fly in an orbit with an altitude of 575 km. By the way, this is as much as 150 kilometers higher than the height of the orbit of the International Space Station and, in general, all previous professional space flights, with the exception of flights to the Moon.

Tourists who will spend three days in space will not be accompanied by a single professional astronaut.

According to experts, the cost of tickets for all participants cost no less than 200 million dollars.

According to Elon Musk's plan, after the successful return of space tourists to Earth, SpaceX will put this type of activity on stream and launch tourists into outer space almost every month.
