Patrol police officers will start checking vaccination certificates against COVID-19

Inspections will begin on October 21.

Already from October 21, the police will start checking covid certificates using the QR code from the "Diya" program or from a paper document. For this, about 900 brigades have been created to monitor epidemic safety. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

According to the first deputy head of the Department of the Patrol Police of Ukraine, Alexey Byloshytskyi, the National Police, together with the Ministry of Digital, has begun installing software on police officers' tablets for quick verification of certificates from "Dia" or scanning of a paper version.

The inspection will be carried out by employees of the State Production and Demand Service, the Center for Control and Prevention of Diseases on the Ground, as well as patrol police.

Such mobile teams will visit places with a large concentration of people, for example: markets, cafes, restaurants, shopping areas, public transport.

"People who order and buy fake vaccination certificates, in the case of detecting a fake document and trying to use it, will be held responsible for violating the terms of the picture. This can be a fine from 17 to 34 thousand hryvnias. If it is proven that a person is sick with a coronavirus infection and spread the disease, he can be brought to criminal responsibility, "he summarized.

Alexey Biloshitsky added that paper vaccination certificates must contain information about the type of vaccination, the number of vaccination doses, the doctor's signature and the seal of the official health institution.
