Interest-free credit: from January 1, the unemployed will be able to get money to open a business

Almost 100 hryvnias.

From January 1, 2022, unemployed low-income Ukrainians can receive an interest-free loan from the state. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy.

About 100 million hryvnias are provided for the implementation of the program in the state budget for the next year.

The loan can be issued within the framework of the "Helping Hand" budget program, which was established by the Ministry of Social Policy.

Thus, the maximum amount of assistance cannot exceed 15 minimum salaries — 97,5 thousand. hryvnia This is as of January 1, 2022.

The Ministry of Social Policy has warned that an interest-free loan can only be used to open one's own business. After three years of entrepreneurial activity, the aid will have to be returned to the state.

"The significant advantage of this program is that the returned amount is reduced by the amount of taxes and ESR paid for three years. "In addition, if such an entrepreneur hires two more people in the direction of the employment center, it is not necessary to return the state's assistance," the relevant ministry emphasized.

To apply for such a loan, unemployed Ukrainians must apply to the employment center at the place of registration. In addition, a criminal record certificate and a business plan for the future business will be required to provide assistance.

But the Ministry of Social Policy stated that they can help Ukrainians with the design of a business strategy in employment centers. There, employees will provide consultations and organize free professional training for low-income citizens.
