The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, complained to the head of the specialized Council Committee that the salaries of the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are three times lower than those prescribed by the People's Deputies for the employees of the newly created Bureau of Economic Security (BEB).
Avakov stated this on Thursday, February 11, during the extended collegium of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
"We are happy, and we consistently advocated the creation of the Bureau of Economic Security, but somehow it turned out that the legislator provided for a salary for these employees that is three times higher than that of border guards and policemen. I ask you to work on this," said Avakov, addressing the head of the Verkhovna Rada's specialized committee, Denys Monastyrskyi.
In response, Monastyrsky syronized, saying that the question concerns the creation of new bodies.
"Let's look at the NABU, the State Security Bureau, there is a question of re-creating police bodies once again," said the head of the specialized Committee.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that because of this "someone will work, and someone will receive a salary."
To this, Monastyrsky said: "The question of the best operatives and the flow of investigators is, of course, very acute, I think we will work on it together."
