On Friday evening, an armed man opened fire on people near a synagogue in the Neve Ya'akov neighborhood of Jerusalem. The police called the event a terrorist attack.
As a result of the attack, at least seven people died, and another 10 were injured.
According to the police, the attacker is a 21-year-old Palestinian who lived in a refugee camp in East Jerusalem. The attacker tried to escape, but was shot dead by a police patrol.
Already on Saturday, January 28, a new shooting occurred in Israel caused by a 13-year-old Palestinian teenager — two people, a father and a son, were injured. The attacker is in the hospital.
