The German chancellor assured that his country would continue to supply Ukraine with the necessary weapons

Germany's position regarding the transfer of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine has not changed. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during press conference with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

As Scholz noted, Germany will continue to supply Ukraine with rocket launchers, as this is its "task". At the same time, his decision regarding of "one weapons system" remains clear, referring to the Taurus missiles.

"As far as this weapon system is concerned (Taurus - ed.), my decision remains unchanged," - said Scholz.

At the same time, he emphasized that Germany will continue to supply Ukraine with rocket launchers.

"However, my decision is also clear that we will continue to be the biggest supporter of Ukraine in Europe, that we will continue to be the two countries, together with Great Britain, that do the most and exactly what is important for defense, I have already spoken about three Patriot batteries, and that's what's an immediate necessity." - added the chancellor.

Scholz noted that he hopes that other countries will also be able to provide Patriot to Ukraine despite their own security requirements, as the systems can make a difference and strengthen the country's air defenses.
