US President Joe Biden on Wednesday, April 24, signed a package of legislation approved by Congress, which provides for the allocation of almost 61 billion dollars in additional military and economic aid to Ukraine, as well as assistance to other US allies. Biden's signing of the long-awaited package of legislation, the adoption of which was actually delayed for 8 months due to disputes in Congress, was shown in a live broadcast from the White House.
"Today is a good day for world peace. I just signed into law a bill that deals with aid. It will make America and the world safer. This will help our partners to protect their sovereign land," — announced the president of the United States.
Now that the Senate-approved bill has been signed by the US president, the US can allocate a new package of military aid to Ukraine. And, as expected, its total cost will be 1 billion dollars.
