Territorial centers of recruitment and social support abroad will not work. Delivery of subpoenas outside of Ukraine seems unrealistic. This was announced by the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Dmytro Lazutkin on Radio Svoboda.
"TCCs will not work abroad. The Ministry of Defense cannot comment on certain actions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This (handing of summonses abroad, — ed.) looks quite unrealistic." he declared.
The spokesman explained that after the new law on mobilization comes into force, men of draft age both in Ukraine and abroad will have 60 days to update their military registration data. This can be done, in particular, through the electronic cabinet.
"It is not necessary to go to Ukraine, but if a person wants to defend the Motherland, wants to join the Defense Forces, then, of course, it is worth coming to Ukraine... For those who are abroad, there will be an opportunity to do this (update the military registration data, — ed.) in consular institutions, as well as through the electronic office". Lazutkin noted.
According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, they are currently working on making the electronic office operational in June. He emphasized that passing the military medical board in the electronic office is not provided for. Instead, the introduction of an electronic cabinet will allow for high-quality registration of conscripts.
"The electronic office currently does not provide for the passing of the VLK. It is primarily about updating data — changes in place of residence, change in marital status, reservations, reservations, etc. he added.
