SAP and NABU sent an indictment to the High Anti-Corruption Court against Dmytro Chapir, a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council, elected from the "Trust the Works" party. It is reported press service NABU.
The deputy is suspected of receiving 120 hryvnias of illegal gain, his actions are qualified under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, Dmytro Chapir demanded and received an illegal benefit from the director of the hospital for not interfering with the company's activities, as well as for a "guarantee" of remaining in office.
It should be recalled, that in June of this year, the deputy was exposed "red handed" while receiving 120 hryvnias.
If the guilt is proven, then Chapir can be behind bars, he faces a punishment of five to ten years of imprisonment, as well as the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with confiscation of property.
Currently, Dmytro Chapir continues to fulfill his parliamentary powers and heads the Odesa Regional Council's Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Policy.
