NABU has completed the investigation into the case of Dmytro Chapir, a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council from the "Trust in Business" party, regarding the receipt of illegal benefits.
"SAP and NABU completed the investigation and opened materials in the case concerning the deputy of the Odesa Regional Council, suspected of receiving 120 hryvnias of illegal benefits. The person's actions are qualified under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," informs the prosecutor's office.
According to the investigation, Chapir demanded and received from the director of the hospital an illegal profit of UAH 120 for not obstructing the company's activities.
We will remind, on June 7, the National Anti-corruption Bureau arrested Dmytro Chapir, deputy-chairman of the Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Policy of the Odesa Regional Council, for allegedly receiving illegal benefits.
On June 8, Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova signed a charge against him. The documents were handed over by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
