On the eve of Humor Day, on March 31, the final parts of the humorous and satirical micro-series "FUCKel Moldovans" will be filmed in Odesa.
Instead of glorious humor, a carnival on Deribasivska Street and a concert on Duma Square, today there are anti-tank hedgehogs and roadblocks. But Odesa remains the Ukrainian and world capital of humor.
"Laughter is also a weapon" - the confident Odesa writer Yulia Verba and the amateur theater "Lady forever", who shoot and publish short sketches from the life of a Moldovan woman on social networks. The war, thoughts and conversations about it came to a typical Odessa yard. Local residents passionately discuss current events, declare their love for the Ukrainian army, and express their attitude towards the occupiers without a note.
The topics of the sketches are the most discussed today in every Ukrainian family - how to help each other, how to protect your yard, what to do in a bomb shelter, how to occupy children who stayed at home without school lessons.
The authors defined the goal of the project as supporting Ukrainian defenders and demonstrating to the whole world that Odesa is Ukraine.
All actors and crew work on the project for free. Filming takes place on ordinary smartphones in the breaks between air alarms and anti-aircraft salvos.
