The situation at the front is, perhaps, more difficult and serious than two years ago, — the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Kuleba emphasized that the military needs of our country do not correspond to the defense needs of our partners

The situation at the front in Ukraine remains difficult, in particular, due to the lack of ammunition, as well as air defense systems and missiles for them. She is perhaps even more serious now than she was almost two years ago. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, in an interview BILD.

"The situation is very serious, perhaps even more serious than it has been since the beginning of the Russian invasion almost two years ago." Kuleba said.

He also noted that the massive missile attack on the morning of January 23 is evidence that Ukraine needs more air defense systems and missiles for them.

"Although Ukraine has significantly increased its production and will continue to do so, we still see that the Western defense industry is not able to produce a sufficient amount of products," — added the minister.

According to him, the needs of Ukraine "do not correspond to the defense needs" of Western countries.

Kuleba notes that Russia clearly dominates in the supply of artillery ammunition. One of the reasons for this: shipments from North Korea.

"No matter how funny it sounds, it looks like North Korea is a more effective partner for Russia than friends who supply Ukraine with artillery ammunition. This is ridiculous. And this should change," - said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The defense of the front line without a sufficient amount of artillery ammunition costs the lives of many Ukrainian soldiers.

"And while we appreciate everything we get, the scale of the war demands more."

The minister urged Western allies and the defense industry to stop blaming each other for not ramping up production fast enough.

"When it comes to making concrete decisions, we see how our partners sometimes drown in endless discussions. But there is no time to sink, you have to swim."

Against this backdrop, Kuleba said that decision-makers and all stakeholders should stop "theorizing" the world with narratives about a possible Russian victory.

"People, officials, decision-makers, interested parties should stop theorizing about a possible Russian victory. Because then Ukraine would be the first victim. But Germany and other European countries will be next. And there won't be much time between them, so this is the wrong political approach. Instead, you should focus on winning.”.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba still hopes that Ukraine will be able to convince the German government to transfer the long-range Taurus missiles needed by our country.

"We don't need Taurus to attack Moscow. We do not need the long-range missiles provided by our Western partners to attack Moscow or any other part of Russian territory." he emphasized.

As the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized, our country needs Taurus to destroy the Russian military infrastructure behind the front line on the territory of Ukraine.

Recall that Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov at the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the Rammstein format on January 23 told that the Armed Forces needed to make a breakthrough at the front.
