At today's meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the "Ramstein" format, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umyerov, explained what the Armed Forces of Ukraine need to achieve a breakthrough. It is reported press service Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to the minister, sufficient volumes of equipment and ammunition, maintenance and spare parts "are a critical component of success."
"But breakthroughs require innovation and significant technological progress. That is why in 2024, defense technologies will have a central role in the agenda of the Ministry of Defense." — said the official.
Umyerov also expressed gratitude to all partner countries that support the Defense Forces of Ukraine, in particular, in the development of coalition capabilities. At the same time, he emphasized the critical need to increase long-term military aid packages.
It is noted that the MoU is ready to co-invest in technologies and joint production, share "combat experience, facilitate the conclusion of long-term contracts with interested companies."
At the 18th Ramstein, the Ukrainian delegation also includes:
