Firefighters who arrived at the scene promptly extinguished the fire, but there were no casualties. At the moment, utility workers are helping rescuers to clear the debris and eliminate the consequences of the large-scale destruction.
The mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, arrived on the scene, according to whom there is not a single military object nearby.
"These are residential buildings where peaceful people live. Let the stunned Russians know this, to whom the leadership of their country tells them that there is nothing like this here. As for us, we will not leave Odessa and will fight for our city," Trukhanov said.
