The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs died as a result of the helicopter crash in Brovary.
This is stated in the message of the National Police of Ukraine with reference to the head of the National Police Ihory Klymenko.
"This morning, on January 18, a rotorcraft of the State Emergency Service crashed in Brovary. The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs died as a result of the plane crash. A total of 16 dead are currently known, including 2 children. Of them, 9 were on board the rotorcraft," the message reads.
The number of victims as a result of a helicopter crash in Brovary has increased to 18 people, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. Three children were among the dead. 26 people were injured, including 12 children.
Ihor Klymenko also clarified that the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs died as a result of the plane crash Denys Monastyrskyi, his first deputy Yevhen Yenin and state secretary Yuriy Lubkovich.
It should be recalled, that on January 18, a rotorcraft fell in the city of Brovary, near Kyiv, near a kindergarten and high-rise buildings.
