The helicopter that crashed had "inherent technical problems"

Helicopter, what fell in Brovary, was bought in France in 2018: the EC225 model had a number of "inherent" technical problems

After a series of plane crashes in European countries, it was discovered that these copters sometimes lose a propeller in flight, leading to a "potentially catastrophic structural failure."

The Super Puma EC225 LP and AS332 L2 models were even temporarily banned in 2017 from flying in EU countries due to problems with the propeller and the carrier gearbox.

By 2017, the ban on Super Puma flights was lifted in many countries, as the manufacturer found a way to fix the malfunction.

Such helicopters were delivered to Ukraine second-hand, but after use they were overhauled and modernized.
