President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi called the fall of the helicopter carrying the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the kindergarten in Brovary not just an "accident" but a consequence of the war, but he said that he was not worried about his safety.
The president announced this in an online session at the World Economic Forum in Davos, answering questions after his speech.
"I think - because of the experience of war that I have today and that of our society: this is not an accident, this is war. War is simply not only on the battlefield. War has several directions. No more accidents, it's all the result of war. Absolutely. All these steps, everything that happens.
Rockets that hit our people, civilian settlements. What happens when children die in kindergartens and schools. Someone can spread information that "we did not aim at the civilian population, but we wanted to hit the energy infrastructure, but it turned out that way" or something else. These are just unnecessary words.
All this - every person and every death - is the result of war."
