Anti-corruption bodies of Ukraine have high indicators in the field of combating top corruption and a record economic effect of UAH 4,7 billion. This was stated by the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) Semyon Krivonos at a briefing in Kyiv.
"During 2023, the hot head of the Supreme Court, a judge of the Court of Appeal was exposed, and 11 people's deputies, three deputy ministers were brought to criminal responsibility." - said the official.
He added that last year, anti-corruption agencies focused on uncovering criminal organizations involving top officials and corruption at the highest level, as well as investigating crimes in the field of reconstruction and defense.
"21 persons from among the highest officials, 39 heads of state enterprises, 16 judges were exposed... These numbers are much higher than the indicators of previous years. And this testifies to the effectiveness and correctness of our priorities." Kryvonos claims.
The official noted that "the economic effect reached a record 3 billion hryvnias."
"A total of 2023 billion UAH for 4,7, which is one and a half times more than in 2022." - summed up the Director of NABU.
It was previously reported that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is investigating more than 60 cases of abuse in the defense sector.
