The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft State Budget for 2021. The corresponding decision was made at the government meeting on September 14.
"Today, the government will submit the draft State Budget for 2021 to the Verkhovna Rada. The project of the main financial document of the country is balanced and corresponds to the specific challenges of modernity. Main focus: support of citizens and businesses, new impetus to the development of regions, continuation of infrastructure renewal. In the draft budget, both the social component and development expenses are increased. The government is counting on constructive cooperation with the parliament and prompt adoption of this document," said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
According to the Minister of Finance Sergey Marchenko, the 2021 budget draft is realistic and balanced, it is based on the macroeconomic forecast, which was adopted by the government in July of this year.
"In essence, this is a budget of opportunities for the development of the economy and the support of our citizens and businesses in the conditions of the "restart" of the economy after the impact of the coronavirus disease pandemic," commented Marchenko.
