The Ministry of Digital Transformation is developing five digital solutions to combat the spread of COVID-19 — they relate to the collection of information about patients, fines for violating self-isolation, electronic prescriptions for drugs against complicated coronaviruses, electronic directions for testing and registration of visitors by QR code.
"The Verkhovna Rada by resolution gave the government the opportunity to implement complex anti-epidemic investigations, including through the creation of a single electronic register and corresponding digital solutions," said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal from the Verkhovna Rada tribune.
He also added:
"Today I want to present 5 basic digital solutions that should help curb the pandemic in Ukraine and which will be introduced in the near future. They are being developed and we will present them:
- Digitization and centralization of the collection of information on the facts of suspicion and cases of infectious diseases;
- mobile application improvementDiy at home» with the introduction of automatic fines for violating the self-isolation regime;
- launch of an electronic prescription for drugs, antibiotics and expansion of the "Affordable drugs" program to include antibiotics necessary to combat COVID;
- introduction of electronic direction for PCR (testing), which will allow to monitor queues and not to create them in real time;
- QR-codes for public places, which are centrally generated and placed by the establishments themselves.
A similar system (QR-codes) operates in Great Britain, one country. We will move quickly and be the second country to introduce similar measures."
At the same time, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaly Klitschko, said that the "Activate at home" system does not work and that "there are many examples when infected and contact persons continue to go to work, school and visit public places."
