The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced the cancellation of coronavirus restrictions for Ukrainians who will undergo vaccination against COVID-19, or have already suffered from the coronavirus disease. He announced this on Monday morning during a meeting with journalists.
"We will be like a state, and we have already almost worked it out in principle, we will cancel any restrictions - especially for people who are vaccinated or who have already been sick with covid. And this is right, because we cannot constantly be in a tense format of restrictions," the president said.
He also stated that the mortality rate from COVID-19 in Ukraine is the lowest compared to many European countries.
"We lasted longer than the others and did not introduce a lockdown. And the restrictions that came into effect in January were quite liberal, if compared with the lockdown formats in Germany, Great Britain, France and other countries," Zelensky said.
In addition, during this time, Ukraine managed to increase the number of beds in hospitals.
"Already today 70% of them are free. And more than 80% of beds in Ukraine are equipped with oxygen," the head of state noted.
Let us remind you that Zelensky also stated that he is ready to show by personal example that vaccination is safe get vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.
