The Ukrainian medical system is capable of providing about 5 million vaccinations against the coronavirus per month, provided that a sufficient amount of vaccines will be delivered to the territory of the state.
Viktor Lyashko, deputy head of the Ministry of Health, said about this during a press conference at the forum "Ukraine 30. Coronavirus: challenges and answers" - the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine.
"The capabilities of our health care system are 500 mobile teams and 4250 vaccination points, to give about 5 million vaccinations a month when the campaign is at full capacity," said the chief medical officer.
According to him, this should not be expected already in February or March, because there will be a stage of training medical workers, preparing teams to work with a certain specific product.
"When we talk about the capacities that I announced, we are talking about April, May, under the condition that a sufficient amount of vaccines will already be delivered to the territory of our state," Lyashko added.
