From April of this year, all antibiotics in Ukraine will be sold in pharmacies only with an electronic prescription issued by a doctor. This was reported to the Ministry of Health on Facebook.
The Ministry of Health believes that this will help control the inappropriate use of drugs.
A person will be able to use an e-prescription at any pharmacy connected to the electronic healthcare system.
An electronic prescription can be obtained from any doctor, regardless of the presence of a declaration from a family doctor.
The WHO reports that resistance to antibiotics is one of the most serious threats to human health, which is gaining momentum due to their improper and excessive use. After all, most people, at a low temperature, use antibiotics without a doctor's approval.
