The Ministry of Health named the regions that may be next in the "red" zone. We are talking about regions where a threatening epidemic situation with Covid-19 is recorded. This was reported by the chief sanitary doctor Igor Kuzyn.
According to him, the "red" zone can be introduced in the near future in the following regions: Volyn, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Odesa, and Sumy. At the same time, the Ministry of Health expects that peak indicators of the incidence of COVID-19 will occur in mid-February.
"Omicron" will soon replace "Delta". World trends confirm that this requires up to 8 weeks of distribution of the new variant," Igor Kuzyn said.
At the same time, according to the chief medical officer, during the current wave of COVID-19, fewer patients are hospitalized in medical facilities than in the fall.
As of February 2, Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne regions are in the "red" quarantine zone.
