The head of the Tesla and SpaceX companies, Elon Musk, intends to buy the German company CureVac in order to establish the production of a vaccine against the coronavirus on its basis. Bild newspaper writes about it.
Yesterday, the American billionaire met with the management of the vaccine manufacturer CureVac. According to the publication's sources, this was the main reason for his visit to Berlin.
Musk wants to produce a vaccine against the coronavirus in so-called "micro-factories" around the world using DNA printers. It is assumed that its Tesla Grohmann Automation plant in Prüme (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany) will supply all necessary equipment to the CureVac plant.
It is important to emphasize that 23% of the shares of the CureVac company belong to the German state. At the moment, it is not known whether the Minister of Economy of Germany, Peter Altmeier, will approve the deal for the acquisition of the company by the American billionaire and under what conditions it will be concluded.
