Ukrainian officials from the Gosprodpotrebsluzhba turned the situation with genetically modified products into a profitable corruption scheme, writes the publication "Antikor".
It is known that the percentage of genetically modified soy grown in Ukraine is quite high. According to experts, this figure is between 50 and 90%. However, there is no accurate record, since GM soybeans are not officially grown in Ukraine.
For example, in its recent official release, the State Consumer Service reported that: "as of April 1, soybean varieties with GMOs and products made using them are not registered in Ukraine. Information on the import of such production is also currently unavailable."
However, at the same time, in the profile chats of traders, there are ads about the search for non-GMO soybeans for purchase. It turns out that ordinary soy still needs to be sought.

At the same time, unofficial sources report that the State Supply and Demand Service gives permission to use GM soybeans in the production where producers need them. The interests of consumers are not at issue in this case.
A separate scheme is flows from the official certification of GM meal, oil, soybeans, etc., in which there is no genetically modified raw material. That is, in simple words, "GMO-free" marks are "slapped" on them. According to media reports, such a procedure requires mandatory "thanks" in the form of bribes.
Against the background of the fact that the population does not have the opportunity to fully work and conduct business due to lockdowns, the requirements for the quality of consumer goods are reduced. In addition, they are regularly caught taking bribes - the latest example happened literally today in Odessa region.
"Antikor" promises in the future to name the names of those guilty of this all-Ukrainian scheme related to GMOs.
