In Ukraine, they are planning to start building the first toll road soon, which will connect Krakow, near the border with Poland, and Rivne, passing through Lviv and Brody. The fare on this route will be about 2,5 hryvnias per kilometer (8 euro cents).
Andrey Ivko, the first deputy head of Ukravtodor, said that this would be a first-class road with a length of about 280 km. However, it will also have a free alternative. True, it is not known what quality the asphalt surface will be there.
It will be possible to travel from Rivne to Lviv for 572 hryvnias, and to Krakow - for 728 hryvnias.
Interestingly, when the first toll road was mentioned last summer, the price was announced in the region of 77 kopecks per kilometer, that is, it increased more than three times in six months.
The construction of the road is planned to start this year, but before that, the parliament will have to consider the bill on the concession, after which it will be possible to officially choose an investor.
