In January-November 2021, the total production volume of Ukroboronprom aviation enterprises exceeded the figure of the same period last year by 40%. This is more than UAH 4 billion. Igor Fomenko, deputy general director of Ukroboronprom for production, told about it.
This became possible thanks to the contract between the state enterprise "Antonov" and the Ministry of Defense for the construction of three An-178. The state order for An-178 ships for the Ukrainian Armed Forces was the first during Ukraine's independence.
"The state order for the construction of three An-178 for the Armed Forces, on which our "Antonov" is currently working, is the first since the independence of Ukraine. These machines will be an excellent example of import substitution: the test aircraft has been redesigned without a single Russian component or unit," Fomenko emphasized.
He also reminded that in September of this year, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the State Target Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of the Aviation Industry for 2021-2030.
This program "can be implemented in the best possible way", because the aviation enterprises of the concern have a production base and highly qualified specialists, added the deputy general director for production.
It should be noted that the net income of the enterprises - participants of the state concern "Ukroboronprom" from the sale of goods, works and services for the three quarters of 2021 exceeded UAH 26 billion.
