Kissed her mother, dog, cats and left: a public figure from the Odesa region in the ranks of the Armed Forces

Inna Perun is a senior combat medic of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Vanguard

There are people who are created for social activities, they think, work and see differently, thanks to which they achieve clear results. Among them is Inna Perun, who is a senior combat medic and a deputy of the Avangard settlement council. Mrs. Inna told about difficulties and everyday life on the path of the military.

Tasks of a combat medic

We train constantly and every day, because there was no such thing as preparing us for war. From the first day, they came as volunteers to defend the country.

The task of a medic is to teach people how to help themselves in case of injuries, to monitor their health, and to carry out tasks from the command. The company medic must timely identify the sick, provide primary medical aid, monitor sanitary-hygienic and anti-epidemic measures in the unit, carry out medical reconnaissance of the area, dislocations, and there are also combat tasks, dragging the wounded. A military medic is mostly involved in the organization and implementation of medical evacuation measures on the battlefield.

For me personally, difficult situations do not exist at all. All medicines are registered, so if they are received constantly, there are no problems. I will note that we have many sick people who need support - that's all. I am the only woman in positions here. I create the necessary conditions for myself, and the boys help me and treat me with respect. Will adapt to any conditions.

Volunteering

I have been a volunteer for many years, since the beginning of the war. Now we have a well-established volunteer network, contacts, we are all united and focused on each other. They help not only our military unit, but also others, from all necessary directions. This is possible thanks to close cooperation with many public organizations.

During this time, if I went on layoffs, I was almost never at home, volunteering. I never returned to the part without anything, the car was always loaded with all the things we needed. I didn't go home before, I'll stop by for 15 minutes: kiss my mother, dog, cats and it's time to go back.

Provision of the military, assistance to civilians and salaries

Now we all need to go for victory and put all our efforts into defeating the external enemy and not forgetting about the internal one as well. As a public figure, I am concerned about many things. People and military should be smarter.

For example, recently our community baked twists and all kinds of pies for the military. They did it for the part that is in the city. But there is a difference, because those soldiers who are within the boundaries of civilization have more opportunities: they can go to the store, because it is there. And we have many positions where there is no light, no water at all, no way to prepare food or options to improve these conditions. In my opinion, if there is an opportunity to help, then it should be done for those who are in more difficult conditions.

There are fighters who are in the forest, like my youngest son Vladyslav. They drove 200 kilometers to deliver goodies. There is a difference in everything. The same situations were with car fees. When the unit needed another car to transport the wounded, they collected 23. This was enough only to repair the old one, which they bought with their own funds, and at least somehow take the boys out. There were cases when it was not possible in the absence of transport. And somehow it turns out that people who are not "at the front" collect on the same cars.

Many left without thinking that they would be paid a salary. We had this: the door slammed and she said to her son: "Get together." On the way, they took my brother to the Military Commissariat. For the first half of the year, all my salary went to the army, bought, imported, forwarded, refueled and so on - all with my own funds. There were cases of non-payment and delays. However, I do not feel that the army or the country owes me anything.

It is necessary to understand that those people who had businesses did not work for the minimum wage. They left behind their families, who also need funds now. That is, a military man fights here, feeds his family and also helps others.

And it happens that not everyone even has a form. For example, I was given three sets of form 56 size when I was 48, so I bought it myself. Of course, there are refund terms, but there's no time to go into that. We will figure it out after the war. My son's uniform burned three times. He is an adjuster and has been serving "at the front" for about a year and a half. When he went to study in Germany, there was no uniform - he found a national uniform. And they tell him that he only needs ZSUShna, which burned down, and the other one was not issued. I took it off and gave it to him. The form burns again and I give mine. Because here I will still be able to buy for myself, although the prices for them are high, and he in his position will not be able to. They gave you one form, and then no one bothers about writing off and issuing new ones. Headphones, equipment, phones, drones - it's all for their money, the same salaries.

Plans after the war

Most likely, after the war, I will stay in the army. And I also want to ask my mother for forgiveness for leaving her alone. Five people from our family joined the army and she was left alone. We help her, but I understand that this does not replace our presence. However, I cannot return, because I am responsible.
