Ukraine will not raise the minimum wage in 2023

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Finance Roman Yermolychev.

The Ministry of Finance proposes not to include an increase in the minimum wage in the draft state budget of Ukraine for 2023 and not to raise this indicator at the end of 2022.

If such an initiative is supported, the minimum in 2023 will remain at the level of December 2021, i.e. 6500 hryvnias month.

Although it was supposed to rise by 1 hryvnias to 200 hryvnias from October 6700, this process was postponed for the time being due to the war.

"Timely payment of pensions, social benefits, and payment of salaries to doctors and teachers will be ensured. The minimum wage will be at the level of December last year," Yermolychev emphasized.

In 2023, the priority for the state budget will be the defense and security of the country, as well as ensuring all social obligations of the state.
