Russia returns to the "grain agreement"

Ukraine provided "written guarantees" regarding the non-use of the grain corridor for hostilities against the Russian Federation.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that Russia is resuming the implementation of the "grain agreement", suspended last week. The reason for the return was "written guarantees" from Ukraine regarding the non-use of the grain corridor for hostilities against the Russian Federation.

Turkish President Erdogan said that he spoke with Putin about the "grain corridor", and today he will speak with Zelenskyi. He also announced that the grain corridor for the export of Ukrainian food will start working on November 2, as it was before.

According to him, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu called his Turkish counterpart to inform about the resumption of logistics operations.

Meanwhile, the Russian side, which initially wanted to disrupt the agreement, officially confirmed that the work of the "corridor" is being resumed.

"Thanks to the participation of the UN and assistance, Turkey managed to obtain the necessary written guarantees from Ukraine regarding the non-use of the humanitarian corridor and Ukrainian ports to conduct hostilities against the Russian Federation", — stated in the power department of Russia.

It will be recalled that last week the Russian Federation announced that it temporarily suspended its participation in the "grain agreement". Moscow explained its move by the so-called "terrorist attack" in the Sevastopol Bay, where ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation were damaged.

In turn, President Zelenskyi noted in response to the accusations that Ukraine continues to fulfill the terms of the agreement that our country signed with the United Nations and Turkey and called to "pacify Russia."
