Yury Vitrenko was dismissed from the post of chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine. This decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Vitrenko will continue to hold the position of the company's head until November 3 inclusive.
"More detailed communication on this issue will be carried out on the last day of Yury Vitrenko's work as the chairman of the board of Naftogaz," the companies said.
According to the procedure, the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz was supposed to fire Vitrenko, but in its absence, this mechanism can be implemented by the Cabinet of Ministers, which performs the functions of the Board.
