In Chernivtsi, the police detained Vyacheslav Eftenia, the head of the strategic investigations department in the Odesa region, who was driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred on January 8 around 1:30 am. The patrol police released a video of how Eftenyi asked to negotiate with them "amicably" and refused to take a breathalyzer test.
The video shows how the police stopped the 63 Mercedes G 2020 AMG SUV. It is known that it is worth about 200 thousand euros, but in the last declaration of Eftenia (for 2020) it is indicated that he only has a VAZ-2107 car.
In the video, the police colonel threatens his high rank and position in the "system". He also claims that "the country has been screwed over." At the same time, it is clear that the patrolmen are firmly standing their ground, acting strictly within the framework of the law.
In the video, the man offers the police to put his wife behind the wheel instead of him.
"Will you meet me like your colleague? My wife will sit behind the wheel and we'll go on," suggested the drunken patrol leader, but the guards were inexorable.
In this case, the police issued reports on part 1 of article 122 "Exceeding speed" and part 1 of article 130 "Driving a vehicle while intoxicated" of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

According to public data, Vyacheslav Efteniy until 2015 headed the department for economic protection in the Rivne region, in 2014 he was the head of the department for combating organized crime in the Zhytomyr region, and until November 2011 he headed the Volyn UBOP.
At the same time, there are several scandalous episodes in his biography. Thus, according to the media, in the Rivne region, Efteny turned a blind eye to illegal amber mining for a reward, and while working in the Odesa region, his name was associated with the activities of illegal gas stations and cigarette smuggling.
