Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska hired a woman who was sentenced to life imprisonment. He announced this on his Facebook page.
"I did hire a life prisoner (or rather a female prisoner) to work in the Ministry of Justice. Works fine. The employer and the employee are satisfied," he noted.
The woman works online at a specially equipped workplace and is engaged in data analytics.
According to the minister, "in general, it is extremely undesirable for the state to be able to work on everything."
And in the situation with a life sentence, Malyuska is convinced, it is not just about earnings, but also about resocialization - what "billions of taxpayers' hryvnias are spent on" for the sake of citizens' safety.
