The corresponding post appeared on his Facebook page.
"What kind of scum do you have to be to shoot bullets point blank at a 22-year-old girl serving in the National Guard?!" he asked himself a question.
Gerashchenko reported that the injured girl received a gunshot wound in the knee, in the shoulder, and the most severe - in the stomach. She lost more than three liters of blood. Currently, surgeons at the hospital named after Mechnikova are fighting for the lives of servicewomen.
Another colleague of hers is also in a serious condition. He was wounded in the abdominal cavity. According to doctors, the life of the other two wounded who were taken to the Mechnikov hospital is out of danger.
"There is also a military serviceman of the NSU, who was taken to the 16th city hospital, in a serious condition. He has wounds in the chest, thigh and shoulder," Gerashchenko added.
Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi reported on his Facebook page that the shooter Artem Ryabchuk was detained by police officers in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He will bear the strictest responsibility provided by the Law.
"By my order, a commission will be created to find out the circumstances that could have led to such actions of a 21-year-old serviceman who was drafted to teach how to defend the country and take care of security, and not so that he could shoot his colleagues... Monastyrskyi noted that their department will review the principles of emergency military service, its advantages and disadvantages.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, also expressed his condolences to the relatives of the victims and said that "any assistance to the victims must be provided immediately."
He turned to the law enforcement officers and asked them to inform the public about the progress of the investigation and to establish the motives of the crime as soon as possible. Including making the necessary personnel decisions.
