Mikhail Saakashvili said that he is returning to Georgia. He announced this on his Facebook page.
"During these seven years, there was not a single day when I was not interested in the news of Georgia, and I know for sure that the period of my presidency was not in vain and much that we created is still preserved and functioning. However, at the same time, when I hear news from Georgia, I understand that we can live much better, every Georgian can live richer and we will succeed. I'm coming back!" Saakashvili said.
Mikheil Saakashvili held the post of president of Georgia for two terms in 2004-2013. In 2015-2016, Saakashvili headed the Odesa Regional State Administration. Since June 2020, Saakashvili has been the head of the Executive Committee of Reforms of Ukraine.
