Alexei Navalny, who had been undergoing treatment at the Berlin "Sharite" clinic since August 22, was discharged from the hospital. This is reported on the official page of the medical institution.
"The patient's condition improved so much that he was discharged from the hospital. Navalny was treated in "Sharita" for 32 days, 24 of them in intensive care. Based on the patient's progress and current condition, the treating doctors consider a full recovery possible. However, it is still too early to assess the potential long-term consequences of his severe poisoning," the message reads.
The clinic noted that the decision to publish the details of Navalny's condition was made after consultation with the patient and his wife.
As a reminder, Navalny became ill on August 20 on a plane flying from Tomsk to Moscow. The flight made an emergency landing in Omsk, and the comatose oppositionist was hospitalized in intensive care. On August 22, he was transported to Germany for treatment at the Berlin "Sharite" clinic.
On September 2, the German authorities announced that traces of poison from the "Novichok" group were found in the body of a Russian opposition leader. On September 7, Navalny was taken out of an induced coma, his condition has improved.
On September 14, experts from France and Sweden confirmed that Navalny was poisoned with a substance from the Novichok group.
