Russian opposition politician Oleksiy Navalny died in the "Polar Wolf" correctional colony in the village of Harp in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug of the Russian Federation. This was announced on Friday, February 16, by the Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in YANAO.
According to the UFSVP, Navalny felt sick after the walk, and he fainted almost immediately. Medical workers of the colony urgently arrived to him, and the employees also called an ambulance crew. Resuscitation did not help, doctors only confirmed the fact of death.
Later there was a report that Navalny had a blood clot.
It is also reported that during the imprisonment of Oleksiy Navalny, he was sent to a penal institution 27 times. According to his relatives, he spent 308 days in the SHIZO.
