German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that the recognition of the so-called "LDNR" would be a political disaster. He said this during a joint press conference with Vladimir Putin.
"Of course, if this recognition of the so-called "LDNR" becomes a reality, it will be a violation of the Minsk agreements. Then it will mean that the peace process will be interrupted, it will be a political catastrophe. Only if everyone returns to the Minsk agreements, this will become possible, clear criteria are written there," said Scholz.
We note that today, February 15, the State Duma of the Russian Federation supported the appeal to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the recognition of "L/DNR".
After the meeting with the Chancellor of Germany, Putin said that he was in no hurry to sign the appeal.
"We will proceed from the fact that we must do everything to solve the problems of Donbass, first of all, proceeding from the not fully implemented opportunities under the Minsk agreements," the Russian President noted.
