The Association of Sports Journalists of Ukraine has determined the country's best athletes in 2021. The expert jury gave the athletes points, on the basis of which the rating was formed.
Zhan Beleniuk, the Olympic champion of Tokyo in Greco-Roman wrestling, received the most points. He brought Ukraine the only "gold" at the 2020 Olympics.
In second place is two-time Olympic swimming medalist Mikhail Romanchuk, who won silver and bronze. Lyudmila Luzan, who won Olympic silver in the 500-meter double canoe and bronze in the 200-meter single swim, took third place.
Also in the TOP-10 best Ukrainian athletes of the year were Yelena Starykova, who won the silver medal of the Olympic track cycling sprint, and the artistic swimming duo Anastasiya Savchuk and Marta Fedyna.
