"Nothing is impossible": the Odessa athlete made it to the prestigious list of Forbes

Honored master of sports of Ukraine in karate and Olympic medalist.

Anzhelika Terliuga, Odesa karate player and honored master of sports of Ukraine in karate, entered the Forbes rating "30 successful Ukrainians under 30". Now the athlete is 29 years old.

Anzhelika won a silver medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, where she performed in the "kumite" program in the weight category up to 55 kilograms.

This is the first Olympic medal in the history of the country for this sport, which was included as a discipline for the first time in the history of the Olympic Games.

At the moment, she is the only Ukrainian karateka who won an Olympic license.

Regarding the success in Forbes, the girl said that she did not expect to see her name on the lists.

"I never thought that my name and surname would be on the FORBES list. At such moments, I want to say only that you can't stop believing in yourself and dreaming of the highest achievements. This news became for me a huge charge of motivation... and once again I understand that life gives us the opportunity to prove ourselves in different industries and we cannot miss this chance, we cannot stop at what we have achieved. For me, this is a very happy and pleasant moment in my life... I will dream of the next victories not only in tournaments, but also in life. "There is nothing impossible" and only forward, the Ukrainian noted.

It should be noted that during her sports career Anzhelika Terlyuga became the champion of Europe three times. In addition, she has a silver and two bronze medals of the European Championships.
