Two men in a state of alcoholic and narcotic intoxication stopped a train at a railway crossing near Pogrebyshche district center of the Vinnytsia region for the sake of video for Instagram. This was reported in Ukrzaliznytsia.
The attackers blocked the tracks of the railway crossing with a car just before the freight train was supposed to pass there. While the train was moving, one of the offenders ran along the tracks, the other fired a pistol in the direction of the driver's cabin. They filmed their antics on their phones and later posted the video on Instagram.
The driver managed to stop the train. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
Law enforcement officers detained the offenders and opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism). They face imprisonment for three to seven years.
