Two servicemen who were shot police officers in the Vinnytsia region on the night of April 20, were transporting ammunition and grenades in their car. They threw the explosive weapon into the reservoir.
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko during the telethon.
"Ammunition and grenades were transported. They have already said where the grenades thrown into the reservoir are in the boxes. Forensics, investigators and divers are currently working at the site. As for the weapon with which our police officer was shot, at this point we understand where that gun is. The murder weapon has already been recovered. Everything will be added to the materials of the criminal proceedings," — said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
He noted that the shooters have already been served with suspicion. Today, April 22, a preventive measure will be chosen for them. Klymenko noted that the investigation will establish the motive.
