The specialists of "Infoksvodokanal" together with the employees of the subdivisions of the State Emergency Service carried out work on the inspection of all fire hydrants. Information about them was included in a unique software product developed by Infoxvodokanal, the Geoinformation System.
The online map included information about the location of fire hydrants, their balance and technical condition.
HSHS employees also got access to Infoxvodokanal's GIS and will now be able to see online the location of the nearest hydrant, its characteristics and condition. In turn, firefighters will be able to quickly inform "Infoksvodokanal" about damage or malfunctions of fire hydrants.
"Infoksvodokanal" together with the State Emergency Service in the Odesa region pays special attention to the state of fire hydrants. Thus, throughout 2020, Vodokanal specialists restored the operation of 433 fire hydrants, of which 189 were completely renewed. This work continues this year as well.
We note that the layer of work with fire hydrants is one of the useful functions of the Infoxvodokanal Geoinformation System. In addition to data on the location and diameters of pipelines, residents of Odessa can receive information about emergency water supply shutdowns and the time of completion of repair works online on the website of "Infoksvodokanal".
