On the afternoon of November 11, a rally of restaurant and catering businessmen protesting against the "weekend quarantine" took place in Odessa near the building of the regional administration.
No one came out of the building of the OGA, which is temporarily headed by Vyacheslav Ovechkin, to the businessmen who rallied under the walls of the Odesa Regional State Administration. Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov came to support the owners and employees of the restaurant business.
He expressed understanding and sympathy, because the overwhelming part of this business segment was literally on the brink of survival during the lockdown. And now they have to take another blow - the weekend quarantine.«
We are grateful to you for the support of the doctors, whom you provide with food and drinks. We need to find a way to interact. You can't allow the spread of the virus, but you can't destroy the economy, either," Gennady Trukhanov addressed the protesters.
