Already in the "Orange": quarantine has been strengthened in the Odesa region

Mortality in the region increased by 2,5 times

Already 16 regions of Ukraine correspond to the indicators of the "orange" zone of adaptive quarantine. Over the past day, Volyn and Odesa regions have been added to the list, but Rivne region has dropped out. This is reported by the Ministry of Health.

Since the beginning of October, a sharp spike in the incidence of COVID-19 has been recorded in the Odesa region, as well as an increase in fatalities. Compared to September, the death rate in the region increased by 2,5 times. In addition, due to the increase in hospitalized patients, there is a shortage of doctors - junior and middle-level medical personnel, as well as anesthesiologists.

According to the director of the regional health department, Natalya Odariy-Zakhar'eva, "there is something to treat, but no one." In addition, due to the restrictions of the "orange" zone, scheduled operations were again postponed indefinitely. And the medics, those separated from them will be sent to covid-XNUMX hospitals.

Also, first-wave hospitals want to conduct an audit of hospitalized patients. Patients in serious condition will be left in hospitals, and those who can transfer to a day hospital will be discharged under the supervision of a family doctor.

Doctors say that now about 98% of beds are occupied by unvaccinated patients. These are people who did not consult a family doctor in time or engaged in self-medication.

"If there are any symptoms: runny nose, cough, fever, that is, mild symptoms, then without fail, consult a family doctor. Then there will be no serious cases, because the person turned in a timely manner," said Oksana Denisenko, director of the Odessa Public Health Center.

Indicators of the level of morbidity in the Odesa region are six times higher than the norm. According to the chief general practitioner of the region, Vitaly Goncharov, the occupancy rate of beds is 62,3%, the growth rate of hospitalizations is 49%.

"If such a trend persists, the lockdown at the end of October - beginning of November cannot be missed," Goncharov noted.

Meanwhile, new restrictions on the "orange" zone began to apply in the Odesa region. To all the restrictions of the "yellow" zone, a ban on mass events and scheduled operations was added. In addition, it is forbidden to be without masks in public places, including in underground passages and at transport stops.

It should be noted that the Office of the President reported that it is now planned to prohibit Ukrainians without a vaccination certificate from visiting food establishments, as well as from using interregional buses, trains, and airplanes.
