In connection with local elections, which are scheduled for October 25, schoolchildren can be sent on small unplanned vacations.
Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated this in a comment to journalists near the Verkhovna Rada. According to Stepanov, the Ministry of Health, together with the Central Election Commission, is currently developing a mechanism to conduct elections comfortably and safely in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We still need a few days for us and the CEC to work out everything step by step, down to the smallest detail. If you are asking about schools, then we already understand that additional short vacations will be needed so that when the commissions are meeting and the votes are being counted, it is necessary to ensure that our children do not study at school.", - he added.
